The following year, in the spring of 2025, that same team of players went on to win the first regional championship of its kind at the University of Olivet's Blockhouse Arena in the Capital Area eSports Cup (CAEC). The same cup he single-handedly launched, which has since become an annual event for greater Lansing high school esports to compete in and earn the bragging rights to. This new competitive platform is now driving local community engagement and local rivalries!

His impact extends beyond competition. Shay has consulted for countless video game businesses on developing community-driven and sustainable revenue models. He has an unmatched ability to cultivate and leverage relationships with key stakeholders, including school districts, universities, politicians, public organizations like chambers of commerce, leading nonprofits, and community leaders.
